And what do you even need this truth for? Better to take
MMXXV
And what do you
even need this truth for?
Better to take
a bare wire
in your teeth,
on a tongue made of words
put up log frames
and with barbed wire
fence off the lips.
Understand, the truth
dies young.
But you wanted
to meet old age,
to raise hopes,
to water sins
with holy water
and to watch,
how in the curtain
under a sunbeam
streams
carefree
joy.
The truth dies
young,
out of the tears for it
I'll prepare for you
a salty,
on bitter chocolate,
unknowing's
cloying
sweetness.
